To make love one more time

Does not guarantee you are forever mine,

This time apart

I’ve tried to harden my heart,

But how I long for you so

Surely this you must already know,

I search for you feet

In between the sheet,

Look for your manly smell

All my secrets to you I do tell,

Why do I even care

How did my heart enter your snare?

You ignore my feelings

And all these intimate dealings,

I have a life and feelings too

Surprise it’s not ALL about YOU!

Making promises you never intend to keep

Got ourselves in way to deep,

We ask “what am I to do?’

But truly we both know what will ensue,

Time to turn the page on this book we created

All that’s left is the things you never stated,

To little to late

I’ve done all I can to wait,

Our time together has come to a close

Obviously no real love flows,

You say “I wanna be sure it is right”

And give me no other insight,

Didn’t you ever wonder if it you who I love?

Did you ever pray about it to our Father above?

Take a breath…hold it tight

Because that’s all you will have to hold at night,

I am done with this so called love affair

I found the key to your snare,

It is Jehovah God

Whom I truly laud,

Now this may come as a shock

My heart has a new lock,

Only Jehovah holds the combination

I am done with this abomination,

I’ve given you far too many chances

Even under theses circumstances,

So goodbye farewell leave me alone

I am no longer your drone!
